NTI is the premier educational conference and exposition for all nurses caring for acutely and critically ill patients, including bedside nurses, nurse educators, nurse managers, clinical nurse specialists and nurse practitioners. Take advantage of this great opportunity to network with your peers while earning CE credits from a diverse selection of educational presentations. By attending, you'll have access to:

Evidence-based practice sessions on relevant topics such as sepsis, ventilator management and CV care
Additional opportunities to take certification review courses and certification exams
Sessions to enrich professional practice, such as Healthy Work Environments (HWE) and rapid response teams

Healthy Work Environments takes center stage
This year's NTI features an array of sessions that will educate and inspire you to be an active part of improving the health of our work environments.

Look for the symbol to identify sessions focusing on this important content. One of the most unique ways this content will be delivered at NTI 2007 is through an innovative workshop titled "Bedside Manners." This interactive, 3-hour Mastery session features a play written by playwright Lisa Hayes and journalist Suzanne Gordon.

"Bedside Manners" seeks to raise awareness about and elicit thinking around strategies for improving nurse-physician communication to enhance relationships and protect patients from harm. Its message clearly links to AACN's ongoing efforts to promote Healthy Work Environments. Gordon, Hayes and AACN's past President Connie Barden will lead group exercises and discussions.

Don't miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain insight into how improved communication and collaboration build a healthier work environment.

Critical Care Exposition® Tuesday - Thursday, May 22-24

The Critical Care Exposition is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for nurses who care for acutely and critically ill patients. Featuring healthcare equipment, devices, supplies and pharmaceuticals, as well as publications, educational and training resources and career opportunity options, the exposition introduces participants to new products with the latest features. With more than 500 exhibitors and 120,000 square feet of exhibit space, there are learning opportunities at every turn. Many companies offer CE credit right in their exhibit as part of AACN's nationally recognized Exhibit CE program. You can
earn up to 6.0 total contact hours (0.5 hours per session) by attending condensed educational sessions featuring more than 75 topics throughout the three-day exposition.

You can check out employment, education and training opportunities at more than 200 Career Opportunity exhibits. The exposition offers special sections showcasing educational resources, publications and organizations serving nurses and healthcare providers. For a change of pace, contribute your knowledge to new product development by participating in market research surveys. Stop by the Rest & Relaxation Pavilion for a seated massage sponsored by Hill-Rom.

Additional Educational Opportunities in the Exhibit Hall

NTI 2007 nurse participants can gain additional CE credit when they visit two special feature stages on the exhibit floor of the Critical Care Exposition® May 22-24. Be sure to add a visit to both Exhibit Hall stages for additional Exhibit CE opportunities:

Transport Nursing Workshops Stage -Exhibit Space #3965

Blood Bank Workshops Stage -
Exhibit Space #1365

The Transport Nursing stage will offer CE sessions related to transporting acute and critical patients. The sessions are being developed by experts from ASTNA-the Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association. You can learn techniques and procedures for safely transporting patients by air (both by helicopter and fixed wing) and ambulance.

The Blood Bank stage will offer CE sessions related to how acute and critical care nurses can successfully
collaborate with Blood Banks throughout the U.S. The sessions are being developed by experts from AABB-the American Association of Blood Banks. You will learn about systems and procedures to better manage your facility's supply and strategic use of vital blood resources.
